This artwork explores America’s deep-rooted connection between faith, patriotism, and firearms. A figure of Cupid, traditionally a symbol of love, has been altered—his bow and arrow replaced with an assault rifle, his body draped in the stars and stripes.

The piece reflects on three fundamental American values: the right to bear arms, religious devotion, and national pride. On the surface, these ideals represent individual freedoms and identity, but in modern America, they have also become polarising. News networks, politicians, and activists frame them as either sacred traditions under attack or dangerous relics of the past.

When love, faith, and country become intertwined with power and violence, what is truly being spread? Is it protection, belief, and unity—or fear, division, and control?
